Program & Teaching Philosophy

The Harbor Violin Studio invites children of all ages to embark on the journey of learning a musical instrument.

Performing is a very important part of studying the violin and child development. It allows the students to set a goal, prepare their repertoire at a high level, and celebrate their accomplishment. The Harbor Violin Studio hosts two studio recitals a year as well as providing small performance opportunities in private lessons, group lessons, and at local organizations.

Meet the Teacher

A native of Safety Harbor, Florida, Ms. Vibha began her musical journey at the age of three, studying both violin and piano. She quickly became an active member of the local music community, performing with the Tampa Bay Youth Orchestra and the Pinellas Youth Symphony. Throughout high school and college, she refined her craft attending Eastern Music Festival each summer.

Vibha earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of Florida School of Music, where she was honored with the Friends of Music Scholarship. During and after her undergraduate studies, she performed as a violinist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Ocala Symphony Orchestra, and Gainesville Chamber Orchestra, gaining valuable experience on both regional and professional stages.

Vibha’s passion for teaching began early in life. As a teenager, she began teaching private lessons and soon expanded her impact through community programs. In high school, she taught at the Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary after-school violin program, earning the Pinellas County Schools Volunteer of the Year Award, as well as at the High Point YMCA Music Alternatives Program, where she received the Pinellas County YMCA Volunteer of the Year Award. While at university, she served as the violin instructor at Alachua Fine Arts. After graduating, Vibha relocated to New York City, where she continued to inspire students as a private violin and piano instructor at Play Music NYC.
